Thelmas Holiday Cottage providing self catering accommodation is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and enjoying views in either direction; Thelma's Cottage has been recently converted to provide comfortable accommodation for two adults and two children. Footpaths and bridleways meander through the village and on the surrounding hills, making it a perfect place for exploring deep into the Dorset countryside. There is an abundance of wildlife
to be found locally (also our resident peacock and dog!) The South-West Coast Path and Jubilee Way provide breathtaking views , while cyclists can take advantage of quiet country lanes or follow the National Cycle Network routes.
Four miles away is the ancient town of Dorchester, with its Iron-Age Hill Fort, Roman town house and many other sites of historic interest. Also four miles away are picturesque Abbotsbury (with its Sub-Tropical Gardens, Swannery and Children's Farm) and Weymouth - the complete coastal resort. From the town's beautiful crescent-shaped golden sandy beach, historic harbour, marina, country park and nature reserve to the bustling, rejuvenated town centre, there's something for everyone. The well-know Chesil Beach (part of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, stretching from Weymouth to Lyme Regis) is also a short drive away.
Pets and children of all ages are welcome.
